ZIVID 3D, the worlds most accurate real-time 3D camera.

The Intelli3D project will deliver a series of innovative products and services that will revolutionalize automation for SMEs and the ecommerce sector in general. Zivid, in cooperation with SINTEF, will leverage cutting-edge research on camera technology and machine learning to develop solutions suited for agile industries with dynamic production lines - where performance and low setup overheads are crucial.

The central R&D challanges within this project focus on the use of machine learning techniques and cloud-based services to deliver more user-friendly and robust 3D camera solutions. The starting point for the project will be the Zivid One, a 3D color camera that has been designed specifically for robotics and automation applications. Since launching, the Zivid One has had a strong impact on the market and received numerous design and technology awards. However, there is still considerable potential for targeting this new technology towards "new" industries and SMEs, which is the goal of this collaboration. Unlocking this potential will see Zivid establish themselves as a key player in a global market that is expected to grow to over 400 M Euro over the next 7 years.

Zivid AS, a spin-out company from SINTEF, has developed Zivid 3D, the world's most accurate real-time 3D camera. The camera is primarily targeted at industrial applications, such as 3D machine vision, in-line inspection in manufacturing and 3D part localization for robots.
