ReValue: Innovative technologies for improving resource utilization in the Indo-European fish value chains

ReValue will contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development goal (SDG) on food losses reduction, by developing innovative technologies for Surimi industry, namely reducing losses by improved cold chain management and efficient conversion of rest raw materials and wash water into value added protein and oil ingredients for food and feed applications.

Visit to Mumbai, May 2018

A team from BITS Pilani and Amity University, comprising faculty members and research scholars had a guided tour of Refrigerated Distributors Pvt. Ltd., and Sassoon Dock Mumbai (India). Firsthand information on various aspects of surimi supply chain starting from the dock to the plant was collected. The information will be used for developing the surimi value chain in Indian context.
