Sammendrag
The concrete Innovation Center (COIN) is one of 14 Centers for Research-Based Innovation (CRI)- an initiative by the research Council of Norway. The main objective of the CRIs is to enhance the innovation capability of the business sector by focusing on long-term research through close alliances between researchintensive enterprises and prominent research groups. The vision of COIN is the creation of more attractive concrete biuldings and structures- not only in terms of aesthetics but also in terms of functionality, sustainability, energy efficiency, indoor climate, industrialized construction, improved work environment, and cost efficiency over the entire service life. To filfil the vision, COIN hopes to develop a major leap forward in advanced materials, efficient construction techniques, and new design concepts combined with more environmentally friendly material production.
