Achieving energy transition in the Global South requires more than access to technology. It depends on local capacity to expand energy access, build robust energy systems, and adapt and sustain solutions over time. Drawing on experience from research and innovation programmes such as Horizon Europe, this event highlights how cooperation between universities, research, industry and public actors can support technology adaptation and local value creation.
