Neil Luxcey is a Research Scientist at SINTEF Ocean, Dpt. of Energy and Transport, since 2008. Experienced research project manager, he is also part of the software development team of SIMA software suite (https://www.sima.sintef.no/). He is currently WP leader of the SFI BLUES project.
During the period 2019-2022, he also worked at France Energies Marines where he lead the research group "Farm optimisation and maintenance".

Competence and research areas
With background in hydrodynamics of offshore structures, Neil Luxcey focuses his research on development of methods and tools for design, safety and operational optimization of offshore energy systems, including floating offshore wind farms, floating solar systems, wave energy converters and tidal energy systems. His work combines experimental approaches and software development, supporting the industry by delivering digital twins solutions for decision-making support.
