PhD candidate in the Havvarsel project since 2020. We develop efficient numerical models and tailored data assimilation methods to produce personalized oceanographic forecasts for search-and-rescue, aquaculture, and recreation.

Competence and research areas
Respecting the noise in mathematical models, I bring together knowledge of numerical methods for the PDE-based simulations, statistics for the incorporation of available data, and stochastic optimization for the decision making under uncertainty. Currently, I am working on ensemble-based data assimilation methods for oceanographic forecasts.
