VannVett - Smarter Water Use in Industry and Society

The right water for the right purpose: How can we make smarter use of our water resources?

Contact persons

Water is one of our most important resources, yet it is often used as if both availability and quality were unlimited. At the same time, increasing pressure is being placed on drinking water sources, distribution networks and wastewater systems. Today, drinking water is used for many purposes that do not necessarily require drinking water quality, while large volumes of water are discharged as wastewater without being reused. If we are to succeed in the green transition and strengthen societal resilience, we must make smarter use of our water resources.

VannVett will bring together industry, municipalities, technology providers and research organisations to explore new ways of using, reusing and managing water. The project will map water flows, identify opportunities for water reuse and alternative water sources, and uncover technical, economic and regulatory barriers. The outcome will be concrete pilot concepts and a roadmap for future innovation and value creation related to the circular use of water in Møre and Romsdal.

We welcome contact from companies, municipalities and other stakeholders that use water in their operations, develop water-related solutions, or work with water planning and resource management. Through VannVett, you can contribute your experience, challenges and ideas while gaining insight into new opportunities for more sustainable and resource-efficient water use.
