Laboratories
All our labs have designated contact persons. SINTEF builds and operates important research infrastructure and we have over 100 laboratories that form the basis for our research. From zero-emission buildings, to ocean basins, nano, CO2, electrical engineering and full-scale aquaculture sites - world-leading laboratories, from ocean space to outer space.
VR Laboratory
SINTEF uses Virtual Reality to research, among other things, evacuation in tunnels, traffic safety, and driving conditions.
Water laboratories
SINTEF together with NTNU offer a wide range of water and wastewater related services in three joint research and development laboratories.
Welding laboratory
In the welding laboratory, we perform hyperbaric welding, weldability testing and weld thermal simulations.
