40 years of research for Norway's oil and gas history
The knowledge gained from SINTEF's Multiphase Laboratory at Tiller has contributed to great strategic importance for Norway's oil and gas production, but also for the country's economic growth.
Transport of oil and gas
The world record for long distance multiphase flow transport is 143 km – from the Snøhvit field to onshore. The multiphase flow transport of the future will take place over much longer distances. In order to achieve energy-effective "free flow" solutions, physicists and chemists need to work closely together. Solutions need to be tested and qualified in the world's largest multiphase flow laboratory.
