ENERGY analyTICS

ENERGYTICS is a 3-year long project partially funded (approx. 37%) by the Norwegian Research Council's EnergiX program, and lasts from 2017 to 2020.

The main goal of the project is to demonstrate application of Big Data technologies (for example machine learning and artificial intelligence) for the energy system by fully exploiting the functionalities of the smart meters (a part of the AMS – Advanced Measuring and management System) being installed in Norway, and the added value this gives in the operation of the electricity grid. This will be achieved through several demonstrators in the distribution grid, by developing and demonstrating prototypes for analysis of data within four selected focus areas:
