Aluminium is used in a large range of applications like buildings and constructions, packaging, electronics and oil & gas platforms. Particularly in transport applications (automotive, trains, aircraft, ships) aluminium contributes to a lower CO2 emissions by reduction of weight. Norway is a large producer of aluminium, and the industry, NTNU and SINTEF are internationally recognized for their expertise within aluminium production, processing and application.
