Sustainable Mobility

Sustainable Mobility

There are complex drivers behind transport needs and transport patterns in modern society. The research group Sustainable Mobility focuses on transport solutions for the future, and develops knowledge based decision support for transport investments.

We wish to contribute to solve current societal challenges, and emphasise the potential of new mobility solutions in solving these challenges. We acknowledge and explore the opportunities provided by increasing amounts and availability of data. The research group consists of a broad set of competences, including road and transport planning, social sciences and cost-benefit analyses. In our projects, we incorporate expert knowledge into system development and programming. A particular area of expertise is decision support tools that calculate effects of changes in transport provision. We also have special expertise in assessing impacts transport might have on climate and environment, travel behaviour, land use and urban logistics.
