Funding health services is determining how the distribution between different actors and different services should be. Sintef has had a central role in this field for a long time, from the development of DRGs in Norway, to more recent redistribution models for the specialist health service. Sintef's work has been both the analysis and implementation of models for use at various levels in the service, from individual municipalities, hospital trusts, regional health authorities and to national models.
