DiTail
In the DiTail project we will study how exposure to fine tailings will affect marine copepods, fish eggs and fish larvae by integrating data from physical, physiological and molecular measurements into dynamic energy budget models.
Deposition of e.g. construction masses and mine tailings into the oceans has ecological implications. Smothering of the seabed and spreading of particles and production chemicals into the water poses potential risk. SINTEF is involved in projects investigating the effect of particle deposition and the recycling of materials.

MERIT is an internally funded research project (SEP) that studies the fate and effects of subsea mine tailing disposal in Norwegian fjords
