Applied Spectroscopy

When light interacts with matter, its behaviour varies across different wavelengths depending on the material’s physical and chemical properties. Spectroscopy involves measuring these wavelength-dependent interactions—the spectral response—to gain insight into attributes such as chemical composition, structural characteristics, or material condition.

We specialize in developing advanced spectroscopic solutions tailored for real-time and inline industrial applications. Our team has extensive experience in designing and building custom spectrometers and integrated optical systems adapted to specific operational environments. This includes both bespoke hardware and software, as well as the adaptation of off-the-shelf spectrometers for specialized use cases.

In collaboration with the Micro Optics group, we develop customized optical MEMS components that enhance spectroscopic performance, enabling compact, robust, and scalable solutions. Our capabilities also extend to spectral data analytics, where we apply state-of-the-art multivariate analysis, calibration strategies, and machine learning techniques to extract actionable insights from complex datasets.

Our applied spectroscopy solutions have been deployed across diverse domains, including:

By combining expertise in optics, sensors, and data analysis, we deliver end-to-end solutions that push the boundaries of what spectroscopy can achieve in demanding, real-world environments.
