This session will bring together key stakeholders to share and discuss cross-sector success stories and lessons learned in scaling from pilots to robotics+AI solutions as the standard tool of choice for inspection and maintenance (I&M) and monitoring (e.g., for surveillance). A key value of robotics and AI today is turning robot-collected data into actionable insights, but approaches to deployment and scaling remain fragmented.
The objective of the session is to converge approaches and identify key opportunities and challenges through three main questions:
- What are the high-value use cases for maintenance with AI and robotics at scale? Demonstrated field deployments for I&M and monitoring; business models and ROI for large-scale adoption; Greenfield vs. brownfield deployments; Current, near-term and long term value creation.
- How are robots+AI enabling data collection at scale? AI-enabled robot systems, data pipelines, fleet management; etc.
- How is robot-enabled data analyzed, integrated and used to provide value at scale? AI-based analysis; integration with asset management and work processes; maintenance/repair; management of change.
The key outcomes are:
(i) Current and future high-value use cases across Apply AI sectors (energy, robotics, security, transport).
(ii) Top three factors leading to successful adoption.
Format (60-min):
- Short introduction (5 min).
- End-users and suppliers of AI and robotics-based solutions for inspection and maintenance, as well as a sectorial organization (SPRINT). 5-6 minutes per presentation. Focus: Target one or more of the above main questions for the workshop (43 min).
- Plenary discussion about the above three main questions (10 min).
- Summary and wrap-up (2 min).
