Knut-Andreas Lie is chief scientist and research manager for the Applied Computational Sciences group, widely renowned for its development of open-source software for simulating flow in porous media (MRST and OPM). He has more than 20 years experience as research manager, is Professor II at NTNU, a SIAM Fellow, and elected member of the Norwegian Academy of Technological Sciences. He also leads SINTEF Digital's prioritized research area "Mathematics in Technology".
