The construction industry in Norway accounts for a large share of the country's total greenhouse gas emissions. To reduce emissions, we must develop new solutions.
An emission-free construction site does not contribute to direct or indirect greenhouse gas emissions. Emissions can come from energy consumption during the construction process, use and operation of construction machinery, transport of construction materials, and construction machinery.
Calculations reveal that hydrogen, batteries and solar panels will make it possible to use electric construction machinery on sites where access to the grid is limited.
