Hybrid nanomaterials

Hybrid nanomaterials are defined as unique chemical conjugates of organic and/or inorganic materials. These materials have extraordinary physical and chemical properties due to their size at the nanoscale. In addition, they often combine the best properties of both inorganic and organic chemistry, giving rise to multifunctional materials.

Hybrid nanomaterials have received a lot of attention over the past two decades thanks to their multifunctional properties that give rise to innovations with high value added. These materials have many applications and we have, among other things, used them as additives to protective coatings, more environmentally friendly and resistant paints, construction materials with extended lifetime, as well as the development of new sensors and membranes.
