Departments at SINTEF Industry

Our department has broad and specialized expertise within biotechnology and nanomedicine in the areas of aquaculture, health, industry and agriculture.

We work along the entire value chain, from ores and raw materials, modern and environmentally friendly manufacturing processes, to casting and forming, joining and other advanced production processes.

Our research comprises the whole value-chain, from extraction of minerals and ores, through production and processing of metals and materials to application and behavior of materials and products.

We develop innovative solutions for sustainable energy technology such as solar energy, batteries, hydrogen and membrane technologies, and energy systems through knowledge on materials, optimization and economics.
