The Centres for Environment-friendly Energy Research (FME) comprised of selected centres which conduct research of high international calibre in order to solve challenges within the field. The purpose of these centres is to contribute to a better basis for decisions in the interface between climate, energy and industry. The aim is to increase the platform of knowledge for national and international energy policy.
SINTEF Energy is involved in six of the eleven national centres, and has the overall project management responsibility of four of the centres: BIGCCS, Cedren, NOWITECH and CenBio.
