Development and Evaluation of Solutions for the Transport System

While a set of development principles can be identifiedin standards and manuals, analysis of alternative solutions to transportation challengesmust be performed.

Our experts at SINTEF are highly skilled in performing such analyses and have delivered central contributions to national (NTM) and regional (RTM) transport models. Further, in association with these models, intermediate models have been developed to address the need for road user benefit calculations, as well as expense and income estimates for public transport agencies. At SINTEF, we continuously develop the EFFEKT model – a tool that can be applied in full cost-benefit analysis, either based on transport calculations or independent calculations for less complex cases.
