CAxMan

The objectives of Computer Aided Technologies for Additive Manufacturing (CAxMan) are to establish Cloud based Toolboxes, Workflows and a One Stop-Shop for CAx-technologies supporting the design, simulation and process planning for Additive Manufacturing.

Traditional Computer Aided Design Systems target subtractive manufacturing where the material is solid, isotropic and uniform through the volume of the workpieces. Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing) allows varaible material properties, complex inner cavities and anisotropic material. We target a new generation of computer aided technologies for Addive Manufacturing in the H2020 Factories of the Future Research and Innovation.
