Pilot projects
UPGriD has five pilots that cover three key components of the grid (transformer, cable, and prefabricated substation).
- Validation of thermal model in operation (transformer)
- Measurement and modelling of moisture and temperature in hydropower transformers (transformer)
- Dynamic environments and loads (cable)
- Dynamic capacity in the transmission grid (cable)
- Load capacity in prefabricated substations (prefabricated substation)
