ResiLand – Building Resilience in AgriTech and Food Systems

ResiLand develops a resilience platform that integrates analytics, simulation, and decision-support tools to help AgriTech companies strengthen their robustness and adaptability navigating uncertainty

Contact person

Norwegian agriculture and food systems are increasingly affected by climate change, geopolitical instability, new trade regulations, changing consumer preferences, vulnerable supply chains, and rapid shifts in technology and regulatory frameworks. This places new demands on agricultural technology companies and other stakeholders contributing to Norwegian food production. ResiLand – Resilience in AgriTech and Food Systems aims to develop knowledge, methods, and tools that strengthen the ability to manage uncertainty, adapt to change, and capitalize on emerging market opportunities.

The project will develop an integrated resilience platform that combines strategy development, scenario planning, simulation, flexible and modular production solutions, and organizational measures to enhance learning and adaptive capacity. The overall objective is to strengthen competitiveness, preparedness, and food security in Norwegian agriculture through more robust and future-oriented value chains.

Five key themes

  • Scenario planning and strategic decision-making.
  • Resilience assessment of companies and value chains.
  • Simulation, digital twins, and decision support.
  • Flexible production and supply chains.
  • Organizational development, competence building, and collaboration to improve confidence and capability during change.

Together, these themes will provide companies with better capabilities to manage uncertainty, adapt to changing conditions, and build robust value chains for the future.

The project will deliver

  • Methods for assessing and measuring resilience in companies and value chains.
  • Decision-support tools for strategic choices under uncertainty.
  • Simulation models for analyzing risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Concepts for flexible and resilient production and supply chains.
  • Guidelines and recommendations to strengthen preparedness and adaptability.

These deliverables will help Norwegian AgriTech-businesses address challenges related to climate change, geopolitical uncertainty, technological disruption, and contribute to increased food security and preparedness.
