Demo Stavanger

Examine potential benefits of new sensors and remotely controlled switches in secondary substations.

In the pilot project demo Stavanger 25 secondary substations in downtown Stavanger and 5 secondary substations located in a rural area in Sandnes are various types of sensors and remotely controlled MV-switches. The temperature, pressure and oil level in the transformer, the switchgear, various temperatures, and voltage and current for all MV- and LV-branches departing from the substations are among the things that are monitored.

The objective of this pilot project is to test and verify benefits of new sensors and remotely controlled switches in secondary substations.
