We will enable scalability in number of robust high-quality assays to be developed for SpinChip's diagnostics platform by combining microfluidic simulations, advanced computer vision and state-of-the-art machine learning.

SpinChip Diagnostics is developing a game changing, high sensitivity, analysis platform for point-of-care in vitro diagnostics. The innovation potential of the platform is in its flexibility and its effective microfluidic processing of different invitro diagnostic assays. This project is of essence to realize the value creation potential, by improving the process of developing new assays for the SpinChip platform.

The project will combine microfluidic simulation of the assays and recent developments within advanced computer vision and state-of-the-art machine learning. A general framework to enable scalability and effectiveness in the development of new assays and its vision-based fail safes, will be established.

The project will lead to:

  • reduced time to market for each new assay
  • improved performance (assay processing time and repeatability of analysis)
  • improved reliability as obtained by advanced real-time fault detection
