INESCTEC.OCEAN is a Portuguese Centre of Excellence addressing marine structures, marine robotics, ocean energy and ocean data, with SINTEF OCEAN as strategic partner.

Accelerate the maritime energy transition and reduce emissions from ships through R&D for innovation and value creation within the Norwegian maritime and energy industries.

Infinifish creates innovations to monitor and mitigate the impacts of fishing on the climate and enable fisheries to adapt to the consequences of climate change.

The aim is to contribute to increased knowledge about barriers to innovation and to provide suggestions for improvements enabling the important innovations that the aquaculture industry faces.

Underwater noise radiated from waterborne transport is harmful for marine life. The project contributes to quieter oceans by showing the effectiveness of noise reduction solutions.

OptiFLEX will investigate the interaction between very large rotors (>20MW), towers and the floater supporting them, to precisely understand vibrations, mitigate fatigue and avoid failure.

An optimized thawing process for “fresher than fresh” fish products

Selective breeding has proven a promising tool to increase the fecundity in copepods. In SEQOP, SINTEF, NOFIMA and CFEED will assess if selectively bred lines of Acartia tonsa also display genetic alterations.

SocialFeed will develop a firm foundation on social sustainability assessment specifically adapted to the Norwegian agri- and aquafeed sectors and evaluate the sector’s net social footprint.
