The field encompasses hydraulic design of the piping system (multiphase flow) and all phenomena that may compromise the efficiency and safety of the system (plugging, flow instability, erosion/corrosion).
SINTEF has since the beginning of the 80s studied multiphase flow including slug flow and flow induced vibration, hydrate formation and particle transport.
