However, these properties are not constant and may be affected by the processes taking place in the proximity of an injection zone, such as accumulation of non-elastic deformation in and around faulting zones.

In this presentation, we will explore the influence of the increasing plastification of overburden shales on the parameters governing their pore pressure response to stress changes, and thereby directly affecting CO2 storage safety.
