NACSIC - New Applications of Cubic Silicon Carbide

NACSIC 2015 is the first workshop that gathers stakeholders in the emerging field of cubic SiC as an active material for energy applications. The workshop is intended to demonstrate promising energy systems utilizing c-SiC in invited and contributed talks. Also, it will serve as an important arena for networking and initiation of European projects within this important field.

The workshop will provide leading scientists opportunities to discuss materials research and technology, establish new contacts and discuss new European initiatives. The workshop will consist of introductory presentations combined with strategic discussions on the future science and technology of cubic SiC. Submit an abstract if you want to contribute a talk; participation in the discussions is also welcome.

The main purpose of this workshop is:

  1. To identify possibilities of using cubic SiC in energy applications
  2. Networking
  3. Project initiation

Venue:

The venue is 2 min by foot from the airport express train terminal and offers excellent views of the neighboring famous Opera house and the scenic Oslo fjord. The day-light in Oslo during late May lasts for 21 hours.

Abstract

The abstract should not be longer than 2000 characters. Tentative length of the presentation should be 30 min long, including 10 min set aside for questions. Annett Thøgersen

The price includes lunch Tuesday and Wednesday, snacks, coffee and tea and baked goods, and a three course dinner with drinks on Tuesday evening. The participants will also get access to a closed E-room with presentations from the workshop.
