Data-driven construction site
The overall project aims to reduce CO2 emission from dumpers working on road construction projects by improving the coordination between dumpers and excavators.
1. Automated graph generation from GPS data
In order to do task optimization, we need a self-updating map of the construction site. We have a working prototype but there are many special cases not accounted for, and we also have an idea about using topological data analysis.
2. Automated movement classification from vibration data
Characterize and classify road surfaces, loading of dumpers etc.
