This laboratory will be used both in research and development to identify and improve manufacturing unit properties during network failures.

Objectives

  • Gain new knowledge
  • Develop and verify numerical tools and technical solutions
  • Study different solutions for handling fault in the grid
  • Test production facilities:
    • Fault-ride-through capabilities
    • Response (current/voltage) to voltage dips/ short circuits
  • Can provide useful experience: Optimization of protection
    • Adapt protection to local network conditions
    • Contribute to cost-effective production facilities
