Tor Nordam

Senior Research Scientist

Tor Nordam is a Senior Research Scientist in the department for Climate and Environment, in SINTEF Ocean. He has a PhD in computational physics, and has been working at SINTEF since 2013.

Competence and research areas

Developing and using models for transport and fate of pollutants in the ocean. Main focus on oil spills, and contributions to the development of the OSCAR model. Other applications include modelling of produced water, mineral particles, microplastics, and methane.

Main activity is model development, but are also working in projects with lab and field work.
