SINTEF Building and infrastructure do not perform fire testing of products. This is done in Norway by RISE Fire Research AS.

RISE Fire Research AS tests and issu product documentation for fireplaces, chimneys and other fire related products. RISE Fire Research AS was formerly part of the SINTEF Group under the name SINTEF NBL.

SINTEF Building and infrastructure issu product documentation for windows and doors with classified fire resistance, products for sealing around penetrations in fire kill constructions, sheet metal and plaster products for protection against direct fire exposure on structures / elements etc.

SINTEF Building and infrastructure performs fire technical assessments in connection with the preparation of SINTEF Technical Approval, where the approved product is important for fire safety.
