ZesOpt model

The ZesOpt software allows us to optimise the design and operation of zero emission hybrid electrical energy systems of ships, as well as other transport applications.

Contact person

The optimisation is done with respect to lowest TCO for a selected timeframe.

The models account for the route and operating profile, timetable, access to grid for battery charging and hydrogen production and re-fuelling.

The model results include optimal dimensions of the components in the energy system (battery and/or fuel cell size), onboard hydrogen storage, required charging and hydrogen infrastructure as well as degradation of system and/or components.
