Abstract
Failure frequencies for circuit breakers (CBs) (only single pressure ${rm SF}_{6}$), disconnectors and earthing switches, instrument transformers, and gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) have been determined through a comprehensive worldwide utility survey. For CBs and GIS, where comparable results from earlier surveys exist, significant reductions in failure frequencies are observed. © Copyright 2013 IEEE - All rights reserved
