Abstract
This paper gives a state of the art overview of today's methods and b uilding materials for layer manufacturing, and discusses the trend of tomorrow's technology. By analyzing the wishes from the production i ndustry the most important properties of tomorrow's layer manufacturi ng equipment is pointed out.
