Will indoor environmental training modify pupils’ perception of how air quality affects their health?

Abstract

The CITI-SENSE project aims to develop “Citizens’ Observatories” to empower citizens on issues related to the quality of air they are exposed to in their everyday life. Indoor environmental quality in schools is the target for co-developed engagement activities ranging from mainly creative processes in primary schools to scientific studies in secondary schools. The engagement activities did not results in any statistically significant changes in perception of the participants' evaluation of the quality of the air at school, home and outdoors, or how they thought this could affect their health and well-being.
