High pressure vapor-liquid equilibrium of alkanolamine, water, carbon dioxide and methane systems: Experimental measurements and modeling with the e-NRTL equation

Abstract

In this work the vapor-liquid equilibrium (VLE) of carbon dioxide (CO2) in mixtures of alkanolamine, water and methane has been measured in a high-pressure set-up. The alkanolamines chosen for experimental testing were N-methyldiethanolamine (MDEA) and N,N-dimethylmonoethanol-amine (DMMEA). The measurements were performed isothermally up to a total pressure of 150 bar. The electrolyte-NRTL model will be used to correlate the experimental data produced in this work.
