Evaluating the impact of real time control of pressure on leakage reduction in a real water distribution network

Abstract

data from two District Metered Areas (DMAs) within the water distribution network of Bergen, was collected and analyzed to demonstrate the benefits deriving from pressure real time control. A dynamic pressure control strategy has been implemented in these DMAs over the past few years, with flow and pressure measurements recorded at both the valve location and critical network nodes. The dataset comprises long timeseries data capturing both low- and high-pressure regimes for each DMA.
