COP30: Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) – SINTEF Blog

Abstract

CCS is a key technology for achieving net zero emissions by 2050. It is particularly important in sectors that cannot be rapidly electrified, such as cement, metals and waste management. Norway has a unique position with strong expertise, established infrastructure and vast CO₂ storage potential on the continental shelf. This enables Norway to contribute both nationally and internationally to the development and scale-up of CCS.
