SysLife

Good condition and lifetime data is necessary as basis for estimating remaining lifetime and failure probability for power system components.

Condition data and information about faults and performed maintenance is already today stored in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) of power companies and network operators. However, the data is not prepared for lifetime analyses.

The aim of the research project SysLife is to create a system that utilizes existing information in order to establish better estimates for remaining lifetime and failure probability of components in the power systems.

SysLife will consist of 5 main modules:

  1. Transfer of raw data from the CMMS to SysLife
  2. Analysis of raw data and generation of processed data
  3. Searching for processed data and using it for further analyses
  4. Handbooks for inspection and condition monitoring
  5. Damage atlas

The handbooks are available from Energi Norge.
