Flexi3D- New flexible solution for pick, place and verify

An important development in today's industry is that more and more small and medium-sized enterprises are adopting robots for automation. To succeed in tough competition with low-cost countries, costs must go down and quality, accuracy and profits up. Small-scale production and rapid changes are factors that require new smart & flexible robotic and automation solutions.


ZIVID AS, a spin-out company from SINTEF, has developed ZIVID 3D, the worlds most accurate real-time 3D camera. The camera is primarily targeted at industrial applications, such as 3D machine vision, in-line inspection in manufacturing and 3D part localization for robots.

Project objective

Develop a robotic cell offering fast, robust and flexible picking, placement and control of parts for the manufacturing industry based on an integrated and adaptive camera and robotic system.
