ShareIT – Pilot Health is an innovation project that aims to develop user-friendly digital tools for healthcare professionals through API-based data sharing and new forms of collaboration between health trusts, municipalities, industry, public authorities, and research and innovation environments.

The project will make relevant patient information available directly within healthcare professionals’ existing work tools and electronic health record systems. The goal is to simplify daily work processes, strengthen collaboration across the healthcare sector, and contribute to higher quality, increased efficiency, and improved patient safety throughout patient pathways.

Today, patient information is often distributed across multiple systems that communicate with each other only to a limited extent. This leads to unnecessary duplication of work, poor information flow, and an increased risk of errors and delays in treatment.

Existing information-sharing solutions are used to a limited degree because they are often perceived as separate systems outside healthcare professionals’ day-to-day work environments. As a result, work processes become inefficient and collaboration across levels of care is weakened.

At the same time, the development and implementation of new digital solutions are challenged by complex collaboration structures involving municipalities, health trusts, vendors, and national authorities. There is therefore a need for both improved technological solutions and more effective models for innovation collaboration.
