In the project, a new hearing test is being tested that utilizes smartphones/tablets and can be conducted at the convenience of the employee.
The test is developed in collaboration between SINTEF and Equinor, with a significant emphasis on user involvement. By performing more frequent hearing tests, combined with statistical tools, hearing loss will be detected earlier than today, and prevent further negative development. Validation will be performed to ensure that the test can be used to follow up the hearing of noise-exposed workers.
