Nordic Atlantic Cooperation (NORA) supports collaborations between business, research and development organizations in countries around the North Atlantic. In the project VALUABLE; SINTEF and NTNU (Norway) in cooperation with MATIS, the University of Akureyri and Purity Herbs (Iceland) will develop high-value components from microalgae to be used in cosmetics and nutraceuticals.
The overall focus is on end-products and the content of lipids and pigments, and biomass optimization before it is used in any products.
