Executive Vice President Bjørn Svensvik has done an important job in establishing SINTEF Building Research as one of Europe's leading building research institutes.
He has recently chosen to resign as vice-president of the institute on the basis of his disagreement with the strategic direction chosen for SINTEF Building Research.
Svensvik will continue to work in SINTEF as director with special responsibility for selected tasks in marketing and project management.
An acting managing director will lead SINTEF Building Research until a new vice-president has been appointed.
