Kristiansen can point to long experience within SINTEF's management. He is currently assistent managing director of SINTEF ICT, and heads SINTEF's departments in Oslo. He has previously been head of SINTEF Electronics and Cybernetics.
Ernst Kristiansen also plays an important role in SINTEF's international research cooperation, such in the EU's Framework Programme for Research and Development.
Kristiansen will function in this post until a permanent new head of SINTEF Building and Infrastructure has been appointed, which SINTEF expects will be by January 1, 2009.
