Nordic Capital has acquired the SINTEF spin-off RESMAN for more than NOK 1 billion. "This sale demonstrates yet again that we deliver world class technologies", says Anders Lian at SINVENT Venture.

RESMAN has developed an innovative tracer and data analysis technology for reservoir monitoring, and was established in 2005 based on technology developed by SINTEF and the Institute for Energy Technology (IFE). SINTEF venture, IFE and Statoil Technology Invest owned the company from the start, and the investment fund Verdane Capital became a substantial shareholder in 2006.

"The sale of GasSecure demonstrates yet again that we deliver world class technologies", says Anders Lian, CEO at SINTEF's commercialisation company SINVENT. "We are very happy to have been part of the process of turning this unique technology and product into a solid and successful company. This shows that we deliver on our societal mission by developing new businesses through a sound commercialisation model", says Lian.

"We are grateful to have had Statoil Technology Invest and Verdane Capital as resourceful and competent partners in the development of the company, and look forward to seeing it further its achievements with Nordic Capital as a new owner ", says Lian.
